ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Brigadier General (Ret.) Leela Gray released the following statement on the revelation Florida state officials funneled $10 million from poor children’s healthcare to political spending:

“It is hard to comprehend that state officials would use $10 million meant for poor children’s healthcare to fund their own political agendas. The scale and depravity of this corruption is stunning, even for Florida politicians.

“Anna Paulina Luna, who is facing questions about her own history of corruption, remains silent on this issue. She would rather protect her political friends than stand up for poor children who had their healthcare stolen.

“The House Oversight Committee, which Luna is a member of, should immediately launch an investigation into the $10 million Hope Florida scandal.”
