ST. PETERSBURG, FL — With just 19 days until Election Day, retired Army Brigadier General Leela Gray is outworking and outraising her opponent Anna Paulina Luna. During the 3rd Quarter, Gray’s campaign raised $1.38 million and an additional $363,455 was raised for Gray’s victory fund, totaling $1.7 million. During the same time Luna’s campaign raised $939,901.98.
Gray, who has been crisscrossing Florida’s 13th District, earning critical local endorsements, and communicating her mission of lowering costs for families and tackling the corruption in Washington, has the momentum in this race.
"Neighbors, veterans, small business owners, seniors, and working families across FL-13 powered this campaign in the third quarter because they are ready for change and accountable leadership in Washington. Families here work harder than ever, pay some of the highest insurance rates in the country, and still watch prices climb at the grocery store and the doctor's office,” said Gray. “Anna Paulina Luna’s policies have delivered higher gas prices, more expensive groceries, and out of control insurance rates for families struggling. We must make Washington work for our people, not just the wealthy and well-connected. On November 3, FL-13 voters will choose between more of the same and a representative who delivers for this community.”
Additionally, Luna’s FEC report revealed that while prices have been skyrocketing for the families of Florida’s 13th, their Representative has been prioritizing private jets, luxury cars, and embodying the kind of Washington corruption voters are fed up with. That includes:
$22,269.08 on for private planes,
$1,152.82 monthly for leasing a luxury car in Washington D.C.,
$609.28 at The Great Escape Room,
and numerous meals that appear to have nothing to do with campaigning.
