ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Today, ahead of the start of in-person early voting in Florida on Monday, retired Brigadier General Leela Gray’s campaign for Congress released its new ad, “Auto Shop.” The ad, which features General Gray speaking about her dad’s auto shop and the lessons he taught her about listening and fixing things, serves as the campaign’s closing message.

As General Gray’s campaign continues to build momentum, FL-13 has emerged as one of the nation’s top battleground races. National race raters Inside Elections, The Cook Political Report, and Fox News have all moved the race in Gray’s direction.

Throughout the campaign, voters have seen the clear contrast between General Gray and Anna Paulina Luna, a corrupt Washington politician who has enriched herself in office, while raising costs for Florida families – from gas, to groceries, and insurance. That is why voters are embracing Leela Gray, a 30-year Army veteran who is on a mission to bring down costs, tackle corruption, and listen to the people of Florida’s 13th Congressional District.

The ad is on the air with a six-figure buy, running on television and digital platforms throughout Florida’s 13th Congressional District.

Ad Script:
"General Leela Gray: Dad was a mechanic. He worked hard, but during tough times, we relied on food stamps. He taught me you can’t fix something when you’re not listening.

"I’m retired Brigadier General Leela Gray. That’s a lesson I took with me through 30 years in the Army. I’m listening, and Washington is broken.

"In Congress, I will fight corruption and will focus on cutting your costs. I approve this message and together we can fix what’s wrong in Washington."
