New Poll Shows Democrat Leela Gray Leading Anna Paulina Luna in Battleground FL-13
St. Petersburg, FL — A new poll from House Majority Pac, conducted by Hart Research Associates, shows Brigadier General (Ret.) Leela Gray leading GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna by 5 points in a head-to-head matchup this November.
"Across party lines, voters here are tired of Anna Paulina Luna and the corruption running rampant in Washington. She stays silent while a reckless war in Iran drives up gas and grocery prices, backs tariffs that hit families at the checkout line, and lets Washington gut the healthcare Floridians depend on.” said Gray. “With 30 years of experience solving problems in the Army, I’ll fight to tackle the cost of living crisis and root out corruption in Washington. And when I beat Luna in the fall, I will be laser focused on serving this community grounded in service over self.
Poll's Key Findings:
Gray Leads Luna Head-to-Head: In an initial ballot test, Gray leads Luna 51% to 46% — a clear majority position for the Democratic challenger.
Gray is winning 56% of unaffiliated voters to Luna's 39%, and pulling a quarter (24%) of Republicans.
Even 9% of 2024 Trump voters are backing Gray in the two-way matchup.
Gray's Lead Holds in a Multi-Candidate Field: Adding independent Tony D'Arrigo to the ballot doesn't change the outcome — Gray still leads Luna 44% to 43%, with D'Arrigo drawing 7%.
Democrats Have the Edge on the Generic Ballot: Voters in FL-13 favor a generic Democrat over a generic Republican, 49% to 44%.
Trump Is Deeply Underwater in FL-13: Trump's job approval in the district sits at just 43% approve to 57% disapprove — a 14-point deficit.
A Seismic Shift From 2024: The district's 2024 partisan lean was Trump +12. This poll shows the race now sitting at Gray +5 in the head-to-head — a swing of 17 points in less than two years.
