St. Petersburg, FL — Today, following Fox News shifting FL-13 from Likely to Lean Republican, retired Army Brigadier General Leela Gray issued the following statement:

“Anna Paulina Luna and her MAGA allies are running scared because they know we are a real threat to flip this seat in November. This rating change reflects what I am hearing with my boots on the ground every day from voters. Luna’s votes for the tariff taxes and Iran war worsened the cost of living crisis gripping our community and country. Voters of FL-13 are disgusted with the culture of corruption in Luna’s Washington. Our campaign’s coalition of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents will carry us to victory on November 3rd.”

State of the Race:

• Recent polling shows Gray leading in this race – with a House Majority PAC poll showing Gray ahead of Luna 51% to 46% in a district Trump won in 2024 by 13 points.

• Gray is also winning unaffiliated voters by 17 points and winning over one in four Republicans.

• And, with Donald Trump’s job approval underwater in FL-13 by 14 points, a full 9% of 2024 Trump voters are backing Gray.
